Biography


Born in 1998, Louison discovers music very early on and starts playing the guitar at the age of 6. He begins his training in the Dordogne region of south-western France, with David Garciarena. Then, after obtaining his baccalaureate, he decides to pursue his studies at the Conservatory of Tours under the guidance of Rémi Jousselme. That is where, in 2018, Louison gets his Diplôme d'Études Musicales (DEM) followed by a Perfecting Course Degree and a Bachelor degree in musicology in 2019. That same year, he enrolls in the Lille Centre for Higher Musical Education to further his training with Judicaël Perroy, Carlo Marchione and Florian Larousse. He also makes the most of masterclasses with renowned guitarists such as Marcin Dylla, Antigoni Goni, Tristan Manoukian, Gabriel Bianco, Xavier Jara, Susana Prieto, Alexis Muzurakis and Goran Krivokapić.

Louison has performed on stage - solo and with various partners - in Lyon, Nice, Lille, Clermont, Périgueux, at Carry-Le-Rouet "Arpoador" Festival and the Tours "Festival d'Automne", as well as the "Les Arts en Vacances" Festival, organized each summer by his family in the Dordogne region.

Louison plays on guitar No. 87 by french maître luthier Hugo Cuvilliez.

  • Second prize at the International Competition - by video - in Nuertingen (Germany) in 2020 .
  • First prize at the Guimarães (Portugal) International Competition in 2019, under 22 category.
  • First prize at the Valence International Festival in 2019.
  • First prize at the Carry-le-Rouet International Competition in 2018, under 20 category.
